Sofia Morozova graduated with honors from the chemical faculty of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2013, specialty “chemistry”. Her Thesis “Selective reduction of graphene oxide” was performed at the Department of inorganic chemistry.
In the period of 2013-2017 Sofia studied in full-time graduate school and worked as a research engineer at A.N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement compounds of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INEOS RAS). She received a Ph.D. in chemistry, specialty “high molecular compounds” in December 2018. Thesis “Ionic condensation polymers”, performed in the laboratory of high molecular compounds INEOS RAS, was devoted to the synthesis of new poly(ionic liquid)s and the study of their application as CO2 sorbents, gas separation membranes, cathodes for Li-ion batteries and artificial muscles.
For one year S.M. Morozova worked at INEOS RAS as a researcher in the laboratory of fine organic synthesis. Her work was aimed at obtaining activated halogenacetylenes and investigation of their reactivity in the reactions of [2+2] cycloaddition and in the Diels-Alder reaction.
Sofia has joined the “Inkjet printing of functional nanomaterials” research group at SCAMT Institute in July 2019. Her research objectives are related to the application of additive technologies for the formation of optically active structures based on polymers and polymer composites.
