In 2019, Maria graduated from the St. Petersburg State Technical University with a degree in Chemical technology of synthetic biologically active substances, chemical pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. After graduating with honors, she joined the scientific group "Experimental Oncology and Immunology" in the SCAMT-based master's program, where she has begun research on the interaction of tumor cells with the microenvironment, projects to develop therapy based on multi-kinase inhibitors, targeted drug delivery and preclinical in vitro testing.
