Chalenko Karina received her BS in Far Eastern Federal University at Biology department. She studied  at the Department of Cytology and Genetics and engaged phylogenetics of trematodes.Chalenko K. joined ITMO University in 2018, where she is currently the member of the Microbiology and Molecular Robotics and Biosensor Materials groups. Her project is "Towards DNA Nanomachines for antibiotic resistant bacteria".
