In 2020, Erik graduated from ITMO University with a degree in Biotechnology.

In his second year undergraduate studies, Erik joined the SCAMT team as a trainee to study various biological techniques and experimental work, and after receiving an honors degree, he joined the research group "Experimental Oncology and Immunology" in the magistracy. Erik's work is related to the study of novel drugs activity for chemical and gene therapy, as well as ways of delivering the latter to eukaryotic cells.
