In 2020, Elena graduated from Tomsk State University with a honors degree in Biotechnology.

After defense of bachelor`s thesis "Determination of parental origin and time of occurrence of aneuploidies in spontaneous abortions of the first trimester of pregnancy" was done at the Research Institute of Medical Genetics of the Tomsk National Research Medical Center, Elena joined the Experimental Oncology and Immunology group at the SCAMT master's program. She is currently working on a project to design novel cytokine storm modulators based on CDK8/19 inhibitors in a viral pneumonia model.
