The group is interested in research of the natural potential of microbiota, and development on its basis biohybrid systems for human health preservation and disease treatment.
The group develops
- complex approaches to the correction of microbiota based on the author's constantly updated database on the mechanisms of microorganisms action on the human body;
- genetically engineered probiotic strains for health correction (probiotic for colorectal cancer treatment, probiotic for dental enamel restoration and others);
- bacteria-based biohybrid composites for microbiota correction and bacterial inflammation therapy (antimicrobial materials for regeneration and wound healing, restoration of oral microflora, female reproductive system);
- new bioactive compounds from microbiota (new metabolic stimulant from bacteria, new antimicrobial molecules)
