Elena Nazarova graduated from the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University with a master degree in Physics of Medical Technologies in 2012, at the same time she defended specialist diploma in economics. In 2016 she defended her thesis and received the degree of Candidate of Chemical Sciences (specialty 02.00.04 - Physical Chemistry) at St. Petersburg State Institute of Technology.

From 2017 to the present day, she is the head of laboratory of the Scientific and Educational Center of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at ITMO University and manages the RFBR project "Physico-chemical foundations for obtaining of enzyme ceramic membranes" (2018-2019).
