In the framework of the project, we will synthesize nanostructured drugs based on a hybrid organic-inorganic composition, analyze the physicochemical properties and evaluate the thrombolytic or hemostatic effect of the drug using the fibrin clot derived from human blood plasma!
In the course of this project, you will learn how to synthesize sol-gel titania and produce titania-based inks for inkjet printing. You will learn how to fabricate interfering optical structures, which color response depends on the optical characteristics of the used inks and thickness of the applied layer. Theoretical considerations about the physics of the inkjet printing process, fundamentals of holographic films and mechanism of the proposed holographic protection are complemented by experiments in a well-equipped laboratory.
You will work with different printheads, including high-tech R&D material printer. Following nanomaterial analysis methods are involved in the workshop:

In the course of this project, you will not only master or refresh the skills of working with microorganisms, but also learn how to form bacterial communities (biofilms), manage the processes occurring inside them, and also be able to independently make bacteria with artificially created properties.
You will immerse yourself in the world of DNA technologies and learn how to develop and assemble DNA machines for various purposes. During the course, you will take part in developing of DNA platform against cancer.
In this course, you will synthesize a hybrid material based on natural spider silk and inorganic optically active nanoparticles. You will investigate the materials using modern physicochemical methods.

The project aims to teach you to obtain TiO2NT nanotubes by an anodizing method and to fill them with metal-organic compounds, like ZIF-8. In addition, you will see changes in the ZIF-8 structure and drug release depending on the pH in real time. You will learn the following methods:
During the work, you will learn how to synthesize carbon nanofibres, obtain a hybrid electrode on their basis and evaluate the possibility of using it as a biofuel cell element. Also, you will research the material using a number of physicochemical methods:
Within the project, the focus is oscillatory processes in chemical systems by means of the integrated chemical oscillators, investigate the influence of a number of oscillators and other parameters of communication on the excitement of the collective oscillations applicable for the creation of the chemical computer and self-organized functional materials.

An additional bonus for the participants of SCAMT Workshop Week is the opportunity to enter the Master's Degree Programs «Molecular Biology and Biotechnology» and «Chemistry of Applied Materials» without entrance examinations
