You will immerse yourself in the world of DNA technologies and learn how to develop and assemble DNA machines for various purposes. During the course, you will take part in developing of DNA platform against cancer.
In the course of this project, you will not only master or refresh the skills of working with microorganisms, but also learn how to form bacterial communities (biofilms), manage the processes occurring inside them, and also be able to independently make bacteria with artificially created properties.
In this course, you will synthesize a hybrid material based on natural spider silk and inorganic optically active nanoparticles. You will investigate the materials using modern physicochemical methods.

You will learn how to synthesize carbon nanomaterials by chemical vapor deposition, obtain nanoscale catalysts, and select process parameters. You will master several methods of synthesis and will study materials using a number of physico-chemical methods:
You will learn how to synthesize nano- and macrocrystals. Learn the intricacies and techniques of MOF synthesis: the slow diffusion method, hydro and solvothermal methods. Investigate crystal morphology using a scanning electron microscope.

As part of the project, you will learn the basic principles of photolithography, sol-gel synthesis and the creation of thin films with a thickness of 100 to 500 nm. The resulting structures will have memresting properties, the electronic conductivity of which depends on the history of the current load
You will know the various methods of microfluidic chip production - the basics of photolithography and soft replication. You will follow the entire process of chip production - from the creation of the design, the geometry of microfluidic channels and cameras, dictated by the specific application, to the process of launching the chip into operation. Microfluidics is one of the most promising areas of interdisciplinary science, combining elements of physics, chemistry, biology, engineering and other fields. The advantage of microfluidics is its development in close contact with the needs of the industry.
In this project you will create a thrombolytic drug based on magnetite and urokinase, examine its physicochemical characteristics and lysis of model plasma clots in static and flowing conditions.
Also, you will create a composite material based on calcium carbonate encapsulating urokinase and plasmin. Pass the stage of characterization of the obtained material and study its behavior on the model of thrombolysis using the CloFAL method.
In this project, you will use standard methods of chemoinformatics to create a tool that generates all possible mechanisms of a chemical reaction, and also learn how to use quantum chemical calculations to determine the optimal reaction path.
Throughout this project you will transform a plant leaf into a model of a vascular system, suitable for testing thrombolytic drugs.
You will pass the stage of characterization the properties of the system we want to obtain and comparing it with other existing systems. You will also perform decellularization, which is one of the most trending processes in nowadays science. By the end of the workshop you will assemble the unique model and perform the first tests on it.
