Food Bio-Nanotechnology

Food Bio-Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary field of research lying at the interface of colloidal and bioorganic chemistry, microbiology, physics, and technology of obtaining food products and beverages.

The group's activities are aimed at developing new methods for detecting food pathogens; obtaining nanobiosensors; changing the properties of products by encapsulating food ingredients; obtaining coatings for catalytic and membrane applications; ultrasound in applications for the food industry; the study of the reaction or inactivation of microorganisms in food and their environment.
